Easter in Beautiful South Wales

Easter in Beautiful South Wales
The natural beauty of the Pembrokeshire coast and the Gower peninsula are famed all over the world. Glorious sandy beaches and seemingly endless rugged coastline give way to the Presili Hills, historic towns and little villages. We stay in Carmarthen for our tour, ideal for visiting this beautiful
corner of Wales.

Your Itinerary

Friday 15th: Departing from home this morning we travel to Carmarthen and the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel for our 3 nights stay. On arrival we will be welcomed with tea or coffee and a slice of Welsh cake. After dinner this evening relax whilst enjoying some light music.

Saturday 16th: This morning we travel west to the popular small seaside resort of Saundersfoot, where we stay a while with time to explore the little harbour before leaving for the short ride to Tenby. With the old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways to explore plus superb beaches, Tenby is South  West Wales’ main holiday resort and is always a pleasant and friendly place to visit. Our return takes us via Pendine Sands and Laugharne, former home of Dylan Thomas.

Sunday 17th: Our excursion today takes us to the beautiful unspoilt scenery of the Gower Peninsula, designated an ‘Area of outstanding natural beauty’. We take a break at the Gower Heritage Centre, in Parkmill, with watermill, crafts and tearoom before continuing to the picture postcard resort of Mumbles.
This afternoon we head north to the Lost Gardens of Aberglasney, a garden lost in time for many, many years and now being gradually rediscovered and
brought back to life.

Monday 18th: After breakfast we leave and begin our homeward journey travelling via the Brecon Beacons National Park.
