Monday 23rd: Our Christmas holiday begins when we leave home this morning and make our way to Scotland. After taking a break for lunch, we continue to our hotel, arriving later this afternoon.
Tuesday 24th: This morning’s scenic drive takes us along Loch Ryan, up the Firth of Clyde coast before we head to Ayr. We visit the Robert Burns Museum, which offers a unique encounter with Scotland’s favourite son. We spend some time in Ayr, a popular holiday resort. After lunch we head back to the hotel. Christmas Carols in the nearby church can be enjoyed this evening.
Wednesday 25th: Merry Christmas! Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, before a day of entertainment. This morning, we can practice our curling skills on the hotels, ice rink, this afternoon a Bonspiel has been arranged. This is sure to be a fun-filled event, not to be taken too seriously! A treasure hunt has also been arranged. A light lunch is included today, a traditional 5 course meal will be served this evening. Dance the night away to a live band.
Thursday 26th: Indoor bowls or table tennis is the order of the day today. A light lunch is included. This afternoon, if you want some fresh air, join the coach for a drive to the pretty harbour town of Port Patrick and a scenic coastal drive before we return to the hotel. After dinner tonight, test your knowledge with a fun quiz.
Friday 27th: After a hearty Scottish breakfast, it’s time to bid farewell to our hosts. We commence our journey, travelling through the beautiful Lake District. After taking a break for lunch we continue arriving home, later this afternoon.
