Thursday 01st: Our journey begins this morning. After making a lunchtime stop we continue to arrive at our hotel later this afternoon.
Friday 02nd: After a leisurely breakfast, we journey the short distance to Chatham and the famous Historic Naval Dockyard. We will enjoy a themed, guided tour including access to the impressive new Call the Midwife Exhibition. After our tour, you are free to explore the abundance of historic buildings dating from 1704, three warships, dry docks, the Royal Dockyard Museum and much more.
Saturday 03rd: This morning we visit the nearby town and once home to Charles Dickens - Rochester, with its magnificent cathedral and historic castle. Take a stroll along High Street and explore the old town and cobbled streets. We have a chance to enjoy lunch before our afternoon visit to Leeds Castle. Leeds Castle is set on two islands on the river Len and has been home to generations of lords and ladies for over 1,000 years.
Sunday 04th: Off to the seaside we go, our first stop is Margate, a timeless seaside town on the Kent coast combining old-world charm with modern culture. In the afternoon we drive along the coast to lovely Herne Bay where we enjoy free time to explore the seafront at leisure.
Monday 05th: We leave after breakfast, sit back and relax as we head for our lunch stop before arriving home later this afternoon.
