Sunday 30th: Departing home this morning we make our way across the country towards East Anglia, after stopping for lunch we arrive at the hotel later this afternoon.
Monday 31st: After breakfast, we discover idyllic villages on a guided tour of Constable Country, including the birthplace of the famous painter himself at East Bergholt - an unspoilt village with many fine old houses and cottages. We also see the church at Dedham, and the little hamlet of Flatford Mill. From here we head towards Felixstowe for lunch. Nothing like fish and chips at the seaside!
Tuesday 01st: This morning we take the short journey to the historic town of Bury St Edmunds, visit the remains of the Benedictine abbey in beautifully kept gardens. Today is market day, enjoy time browsing the market and explore the town at leisure.
Wednesday 02nd: This morning we are off to the famous university city of Cambridge. The city has many fascinating attractions, not least of which are the many colleges.
We first meet our guide for a tour of Cambridge ending with a visit to the American Cemetery. Afterwards, we have a chance to explore the city fully. Maybe have a punt along the river and enjoy a leisurely lunch before we leave.
Thursday 03rd: Our journey home takes us via the charming city of Coventry, with centuries-old history, beautiful architecture and a lively, friendly city centre, we take some time to explore before we continue to home, arriving later this afternoon.

The Best Western Priory Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds. All bedrooms are ensuite with television telephone, radio, hairdryer, and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift, ground-floor rooms can be requested.
