Easter in Hampshire
Hampshire is the perfect blend of city, coast and country. The county is blessed with the natural beauty of two National Parks and thriving culture, with an abundance of history and heritage waiting to be discovered. We also dip into neighbouring Surrey and the spectacular RHS Gardens Wisley.
Your Itinerary
Friday 18th: Leaving home this morning we take a relaxing journey towards our destination in the southern county of Hampshire. We arrive at the hotel with time to settle in before this evening’s meal. Saturday 19th: This morning, we take a drive to the Georgian market town of Lymington, set on the coast in the beautiful New Forest. Later, we head to the unspoilt cathedral city of Winchester, set on the edge of the South Downs National Park. There’s time to explore before we return to the hotel. Sunday 20th: Happy Easter. Our first stop this morning is the picturesque town of Kingston-upon-Thames with its riverside setting. We have some time at leisure before we depart for the splendid Royal Horticultural Society Garden at Wisley, one of the world’s great gardens, packed with horticultural inspiration. The gardens are a delight in every season, discover the Glasshouse, Model Gardens, Fruit Field, Arboretum and spectacular floral displays. Monday 21st: Departing after breakfast we make our way to the regency town of Cheltenham where we will stop for a lunch break. Later, we continue our journey, arriving later in the day.
