Monday 26th: Leaving home this morning we travel to Dover for our short channel crossing. Once in France we continue to Reims for dinner and our overnight stop.
Tuesday 27th: Our journey today takes us through France and into Switzerland, arriving at our hotel in Davos, later this afternoon. Comfort stops will be made along the way.
Wednesday 28th: We have a full day at leisure today. The included Davos/Klosters Card, provides discounted travel on local transport. Perhaps take a trip on the Schatzalp Mountain Railway for lunch in the panoramic restaurant followed by a visit to the Alpine Garden.
Thursday 29th: Today we travel to Klosters, the winter destination for the Royal Family, then on to Chur. This charming, historic town has cobbled streets, secret courtyards and a large cathedral. We have time here to browse the attractive town and have lunch before our return journey takes us via Thusis and Frauenkirch.
Friday 30th: This morning we take an excursion to St. Moritz. Elegant and chic, it lies in the middle of a lake-dotted landscape and offers one of the sunniest climates in Switzerland. We return to Davos this afternoon with time at leisure to further explore the town or enjoy the hotel facilities.
Saturday 01st: Today is perhaps the highlight of our tour. First, we board the train in Davos for the short ride to Filisur, this journey is covered by the Davos Card. We then board the Bernina Express Railway in Filisur and enjoy the fantastic journey through the mountains to Italy. There’s lakes, gorges and glaciers along the way as well as a series of loops and tunnels, that make this one of Europe’s greatest train journeys. In Tirano we re-join our coach and return to Davos via the Bernina Pass.
Sunday 02nd: Sadly, it’s time to leave Davos, we travel through Switzerland and onto France for our overnight stop.
Monday 03rd: Leaving our hotel after breakfast we travel to Calais and the short channel crossing to Dover from where we continue home.
