Monday 17th: We leave during the morning and make our way to the hotel with a stop enroute in Harrogate. We arrive in time to settle in before dinner.
Tuesday 18th: Today we visit Castle Howard. Castle Howard's friendly and knowledgeable guides are on hand to share our stories with you as you tour the house exploring a treasure trove of inspiring architecture and interiors, as well as world-renowned collections.
Wednesday 19th: This morning we head to Malton, dubbed as Yorkshire’s food capital – a small town with Yorkshire’s best restaurants, food shops, producers, tours, cookery school and events – it’s a bit of a foodie paradise! We include a 3 hour food tour (low intensity walk) and share the passion of artisan producers while tasting and exploring delicious products along the way. Go behind the scenes to learn and discover how our fab food and drink is made. On this gastronomic walking tour discover the secrets behind many of Malton’s famous products.
Thursday 20th: Today we visit Harewood House. As you walk round the House, you can see Renaissance masterpieces, exquisite family portraits by Reynolds, Gainsborough, Lawrence and Richmond, as well as a fine collection of Sèvres china, among many other delights. There are over 100 acres of gardens full of variety, with plants from all over the world. All this in the setting of a magnificent landscape created by ‘Capability’ Brown.
Friday 21st: We leave our hotel after breakfast and travel the short distance to York where we will have time at leisure to explore the many wonders this city has to offer. After time for lunch we return home.
