Your Itinerary

Wednesday 30th: We travel over the border to Wemyss Bay from where we take the ferry to Rothesay arriving at our hotel. This evening enjoy a welcoming Bucks Fizz with dinner followed by entertainment. Chocolates, fruit and a miniature of whisky for the men or a small bottle of prosecco for the ladies will be in your room on arrival.

Thursday 31st: After brunch in the restaurant we take a scenic tour of the Island. For such a compact island, Bute has some extraordinarily varied landscapes. From the lush, fertile and rolling hills of the island's heart to the craggy, heather-covered moorlands of the north and the delightful sandy beaches around the coastline, the island is a haven for walking, fishing and wildlife. We arrive back at our hotel for tea & coffee with time to relax and prepare for this evenings Hogmanay festivities. There will be a Bucks Fizz reception before dinner which will be a four course candlelit dinner with coffee and shortbread, hats,
streamers etc. Entertainment in the ballroom with your host, cabaret act duo and highland dancers and piper.

Friday 1st: Take your time this morning and enjoy brunch in the restaurant and then perhaps take a gentle stroll in to Rothsay for a look around the pretty harbour. This afternoon there will be entertainment in the ballroom with your resident host. After our final dinner at The Glenburn live entertainment this evening will be provided by a duo.

Saturday 2nd: Following breakfast we say goodbye to the Glenburn and catch the ferry back to Wemyss Bay and continue our journey home. (The above programme is based on 2019 and is therefore subject to change).
