Your Itinerary

Thursday 13th: We depart travelling south to Swindon and our hosts the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in time to relax before Dinner.

Friday 14th: Enjoy a beautiful day visiting Lord and Lady Lansdowne’s family home Bowood House and Gardens, surrounded by acres of ‘Capability’ Brown landscape and stunning gardens. Bowood House hosts a wealth of unique art and antiques with many historical treasures. Nearly 300 years of amazing artefacts and antiques from the family history are on display. Located just two miles from Bowood House we go to the spectacular Woodland Gardens. Open during the flowering season, the gardens offer over two miles of paths through 30 acres of woodland. Following our visit we continue to Calne. This friendly
historic town is the place where the traditional English technique of curing ham and bacon – the Wiltshire Cure - was invented by the Harris family.

Saturday 15th: We leave our hotel after breakfast and return home via Cheltenham. Cheltenham is the most complete Regency town in Britain and one of the few English towns in which traditional and contemporary architecture complement each other. The Promenade in Cheltenham has been named as one of the top five best shopping streets in Britain After time for lunch we make our way homeward.
