Monday 12th: We leave during the morning and make our way to our hotel with a stop
en-route in Harrogate. We arrive with time to settle in before dinner
Tuesday 13th: We travel into York where we will have time at leisure to explore the many
wonders this city has to offer. See exquisite architecture, stroll through quaint cobbled
streets, visit iconic York Minster or simply watch the world go by whilst sitting by the river.
This afternoon we visit York’s Chocolate Story. One of York’s claims to fame is its illustrious
chocolate connections synonymous household names like Rowntree’s and Terry’s. At York
Coco Works, an independent chocolate house established in 2011, be inspired by the
chocolatiers and have a go at creating your own chocolate treat.
Wednesday 14th: This morning we head to Malton, dubbed as Yorkshire’s food capital – a
small town with Yorkshire’s best restaurants, food shops, producers, tours, cookery school
and events – it’s a bit of a foodie paradise! We include a 3 hour food tour (low intensity
walk) and share the passion of artisan producers while tasting and exploring delicious
product along the way. Go behind the scenes to learn and discover how our fab food and
drink is made. On this gastronomic walking tour discover the secrets behind many of
Malton’s most famous products while tasting everything along the way – so come hungry!
Thursday 15th: We leave our hotel after breakfast and take our last experience in the
heart of the Yorkshire Dales at Wensleydale Cheese Experience – discover the story of
passion, tradition and plenty of good old Yorkshire determination! Your interactive
experience will take you on a journey in the art of cheese-making from monastic times
through the centuries to today. Also included is an opportunity to watch Yorkshire
Wensleydale cheese being handcrafted by a team of master cheese-makers in the
Creamery, plus ‘behind the scenes’ footage too. Following our visit we return home.
