Monday 27th: Depart from your home area travelling to Norfolk and arriving late
afternoon.
Tuesday 28th: Today we head north from Norwich to the coast, where we visit the popular
small traditional seaside town of Sheringham with an award winning family friendly beach,
heritage steam railway, shops selling local produce. Then to Cromer, a traditional seaside
resort and is famous for its pier, home to a lifeboat station and Pavilion Theatre, where the
UK’s only remaining traditional end of the pier variety show takes place each Summer.
There is time to explore before we head to Wroxham, known as the capital of the Broads.
Wednesday 29th: We begin with a drive south to Oulton Broad and Lowestoft, with
chance to explore before we head to Great Yarmouth, Norfolk’s best loved holiday resort.
As well as being East Anglia's premier beach resort, Great Yarmouth also has a fabulous
maritime heritage and a port famous for once being the hub of the herring industry. Have a
look around the shore and town, enjoy a drink and a bite to eat before we leave in the
afternoon back to the hotel.
Thursday 30th: Full day to Norwich one of England’s best-preserved historic centres.
Within the remains of the old city wall, one can find the Norman Cathedral and castle, the
famous mustard shop, mediaeval buildings, cobbled streets, a colourful market and East
Anglia’s premier shopping centre.
Friday 1st: Following breakfast we return home with a morning stop in the university city of
Cambridge.
