Thursday 3rd: Depart from your home area travelling to Norfolk and arriving late
afternoon.

Queen. The house, set in 24 hectares of stunning gardens has been the private home of
four generations of British monarchy and is a friendly and informal place to visit, with
knowledgeable guides in every room of the house and acres of beautiful gardens to
explore.
Saturday 5th: We travel to the resort of Cromer, on the north coast of Norfolk. After break
we continue to Sheringham, where we enjoy the sea air and a train ride, this time a steam
train on the Poppy Line, from Sheringham to Holt, a pretty Georgian market town with lots
of little alleyways to explore.
Sunday 6th: Today we combine a nostalgic steam train ride with a cruise on the Norfolk
Broads. We begin at Aylsham where we join the Bure Valley Railway for the 9 miles ride to
Wroxham. At Wroxham we join the boat for a cruise around the Broads, and we then travel
through some of the delightful Broads villages, such as Woodbastwick, with its diminutive
green and thatched cottages.
