Your Itinerary

Sunday 30th: Morning start head south via the motorways for our Solent crossing, by
ferry, from Portsmouth to Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight and on to the Channel View
Hotel, our home for the duration of your holiday. After dinner you can enjoy live

Monday 31st: Today we complete a circular tour of the island. More than half the Isle of
Wight is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our journey takes us to the
seaside towns of Cowes and Yarmouth, before continuing on to Godshill & Shanklin both
picturesque villages renowned for their pretty thatched cottages and shops and old
fashioned tea rooms. Tonight we enjoy a welcome reception with a glass of bubbly, four
course gala dinner, DJ/disco entertainment and champagne at midnight to see in the new
year & dancing until late on New Year’s Eve.

Tuesday 1st: After a night of dancing today is free in Ryde. Either give your feet a well
earned rest (and maybe your head) or take a stroll along the front. Ryde is the largest town
on the Isle of Wight, and with its prominent position along the seafront and is often referred
to as “The Gateway to the Island”. In addition to an expanse of sandy beaches Ryde has a
great selection of boutique shops, museums and galleries for you to visit along with lots of
other things to see and do along its esplanade. (Some of the small outlets may not be
open on News Years Day).

Wednesday 2nd: Morning Ferry across the Solent and homeward bound for Shropshire.

Royal Esplanade Hotel***, Ryde

The traditional, Victorian Royal Esplanade hotel is located in a superb seaside location, close to the promenade in the heart of the lively resort of Ryde, and just a short walk to the centre of town. The 69 airy bedrooms are well-decorated and offer a mix of styles with excellent bathrooms.
