Monday 17th: We depart our local area this morning and arrive at our hotel to enjoy a
welcome tea or coffee whilst your bags are taken to your rooms.
Tuesday 18th: Today, we will visit Pembroke Castle, mighty fortress and birthplace of
Henry VII, idyllically set on the banks of the river estuary. During our guided tour we
discover the history and stories behind Pembroke Castle and how it was extensively
restored during Victorian times. You can enjoy your packed lunch at leisure at the castle or
alternatively enjoy free time in the walled town of Pembroke which surrounds the castle.
Wednesday 19th: This morning we travel to the pretty picture postcard town of Tenby.
Here we can spend the day exploring quaint streets and 13th century medieval town walls,
strolling around the picturesque harbour, visiting the Tenby Museum and Art Gallery or just
relaxing in this beautiful resort. During our day at leisure we can enjoy lunch at one of the
many restaurants and tearooms. In the afternoon we could take a short boat trip to Caldey
Island with its beautiful monastery.
Thursday 20th: After breakfast this morning, we will visit The Landscape Gallery at Oriel y
Parc Gallery & Visitor Centre. Here, we can learn more about St David’s by exploring the
Discovery Room. We will then spend time in charming St David’s, the smallest city in
Britain.St David, the patron saint of Wales, lived here in the 4th century and the town is
located in a designated conservation area. We can spend time strolling around the lanes
and there is also a weekly market which is normally held on Thursdays. After lunch, we
return to our hotel.
Friday 21st: This morning is free in Cardigan before returning home via Aberystwyth.
