Your Itinerary

Sunday 11th: We travel north to Yorkshire stopping in Harrogate, with its historic buildings and cosy tearooms, it’s easy to see why Harrogate is Yorkshire’s most elegant destination. We leave this afternoon to arrive at the Park Manor Hotel, with time to settle in and relax before dinner.

Monday 12th: This morning we head north following the coast road to Whitby, the famous  fishing port. High above the harbour stands the 7th century Whitby Abbey, the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. We have time to explore Whitby before leaving for a scenic ride across the moors to Pickering.

Tuesday 13th: Today is at leisure to discover the varied attractions of Scarborough. Enjoy the delightful promenade, the Belvedere Gardens, take a short walk to the town centre where you will find a variety of shops, take a look at the newly restored Open-Air Theatre or walk up to Scarborough’s fortress castle.

Wednesday 14th: This morning we leave first for Beverley, voted one of the best places to live in the UK. Beverley is also one of Yorkshire’s best kept secrets, with its towering gothic minster, pretty market squares and beautiful Georgian townhouses, it’s a town steeped in history. There will be plenty of time to explore before we head to the charming seaside town of Bridlington, a lovely old  town with a wide and flat promenade and busy harbour.

Thursday 15th: We leave our hotel after breakfast and begin our journey home returning via historic York. The whole city has a wonderful atmosphere, there is so much to see, the Jorvik Museum, the Castle Museum with its quaint Victorian streets and of course the stunning York Minster, Europe’s largest gothic   church. After lunch, we continue our journey home.
