Monday 18th: We arrive at the hotel, meet our hosts and enjoy a glass of mulled wine.
After time to settle in, we enjoy dinner followed by tea, coffee and tablet.
Tuesday 19th: After breakfast we depart for a full day visit to the capital city of Edinburgh.
Our first stop is an included visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia, home of her Majesty the
Queen and the Royal Family for over 40 years. Follow in the footsteps of Royalty to
discover the heart and soul of this most special of Royal Residences. We continue to the
centre of the city for free time. We return to the hotel for dinner and gin tasting at the hotels’
Gin Palace!
Wednesday 20th: Today we have a day at leisure. You may wish to explore Peebles or
use some of the hotel’s many facilities. A town for all seasons, Peebles' natural beauty and
character will take your breath away. Get to know Peebles with a stroll along the timeless
High Street, meander in and about the alleyways and medieval closes and enjoy the
stunning walkways along the River Tweed which have barely changed over the passing
centuries. This evening we enjoy dinner followed by entertainment.
Thursday 21st: After breakfast we leave for the New Lanark World Heritage site. Discover
the fascinating history of the impressive cotton mill village and the life and times of mill
manager and pioneer Robert Owen. Be taken on a mesmerizing journey of discovery by
the ghost of mill girl Annie McLeod who magically appears and tells her story of life in New
Lanark in 1820. This evening we have a traditional Scottish borders dinner including a
glass of wine or pint of beer followed by traditional Scottish entertainment.
Friday 22nd: Our final breakfast today before we head for home.
