Join us on a wonderful break visiting Wollaton Hall, Gardens and Deer Park, the stunning locale filmed in the globally acclaimed Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, the tranquillity of the Trent River Cruise and the majesty of the East Midland’s breathtaking countryside aboard the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway.

You Itinerary

Wednesday 11th: The Ecclesbourne Valley, one of Derbyshire’s most lovely and unspoilt
valleys, stretching from the northern outskirts of Derby at Duffield, to Wirksworth. Climb
aboard the 9-mile long heritage railway, lovingly restored by an enthusiastic and
knowledgeable group of volunteers. Before embarking on your journey, indulge in a tasty
afternoon tea consisting of a freshly made sandwich platter, scones with jam and cream, a
slice of cake and tea or coffee served to your table in a wonderful converted Pullman
carriage at Wirksworth Station. After our visit we travel to our hotel.

Thursday 12th: We visit Wollaton Hall, Gardens and Deer Park. Go behind-the-scenes on
one of the guided tours and explore the wealth and grandeur. We top the day off with Trent
River Cruises.

Friday 13th: We head home stopping at Melton Mowbray home of the pork pie.
